How Gilded Invite Works — Your Step by Step Guide

You have found the perfect design. You love the idea of a beautiful animated invitation your guests open on their phones. But how does it actually work? What happens after you click Get Started? Here is everything you need to know — from your first click to the moment your guests open your invitation.
Step 1 — Browse Our Designs
Visit gildedinvite.com and explore our nine signature designs. Each one has a distinct aesthetic — from the romantic wildflowers of Meadow to the dramatic gold of Aurelius to the tropical warmth of Palms.
Click Explore Design on any card to visit its dedicated page. From there you can tap Open Live Invitation to experience exactly what your guests will see — the envelope opening, the music playing softly, the countdown ticking, every section of your wedding day revealed beautifully.
When you find the one that speaks to your story choose your package:
- Signature — €149 — delivered in 3 days
- Premium — €279 — delivered in 3 days — includes custom styling, save the date and thank you card
- Bespoke — €679 — delivered in 48 hours — completely original design from scratch
Step 2 — Complete Your Order
Click Get Started on your chosen package. A booking panel opens where you can select optional add-ons:
- Custom Domain — your own URL such as sofia-and-marco.com — €29
- Express Delivery — receive your invitation in under 24 hours — €49
- Extra Language — add a second language for international guests — €25
- Video Intro — an animated video introduction — €49
Payment is taken securely via Stripe. All major credit and debit cards accepted. You will receive an instant confirmation email after payment.
Step 3 — Complete Your Wedding Details Form
Immediately after payment your confirmation email includes a link to your Wedding Details Form. This is where you tell us everything we need to build your invitation.
The form takes around 10 minutes and covers:
- Your names and which appears first on the invitation
- Wedding date, ceremony time and reception time
- Venue names and full addresses
- Your day programme — each event with time and description
- Background music — your chosen song or we choose something beautiful
- Your photos — up to 5 couple photos for the gallery
- Accommodation suggestions for guests
- RSVP deadline date
- Menu choices if you would like guests to select their meal
- Gift message and registry link
- Custom FAQ questions your guests might ask
- Any special requests or wording preferences
There is no rush — your order is saved and we begin work the moment we receive your completed form.
Step 4 — We Handcraft Your Invitation
Once your form arrives a real designer reads every detail carefully and begins building your invitation by hand.
This is not a template with your name dropped in. Every element is considered — the photos are placed beautifully, the programme flows naturally, the colours are refined to suit your wedding aesthetic, the music sets exactly the right mood.
Your invitation is delivered within 3 days of receiving your completed form. Bespoke invitations are delivered within 48 hours. If you selected Express Delivery your invitation arrives within 24 hours.
Step 5 — Review and Approve
When your invitation is ready you receive an email with your unique private link. Open it on your phone — this is exactly what every guest will see when you share it.
Check everything carefully:
- Your names, date and venues are correct
- The day programme runs in the right order
- Your photos look beautiful
- The music feels right
- The RSVP form has the correct questions
If anything needs changing simply reply to the email. Every package includes revision rounds and we make all changes within 24 hours. We refine until you love it.
Step 6 — Share With Your Guests
Once you are happy your invitation is ready to share. It is simply a link — paste it into WhatsApp, send it individually to each guest or broadcast it to your full guest list in seconds.
We recommend sending a warm personal message alongside the link:
“We would love for you to join us on our wedding day — here is our invitation 💛”
When your guests tap the link they experience the full animated invitation. The envelope opens. The music begins. They discover every detail of your day beautifully presented — the venue, the programme, the countdown to your celebration.
Step 7 — Track Your RSVPs in Real Time
This is where Gilded Invite truly transforms your wedding planning.
Every time a guest completes the RSVP form two things happen automatically.
First — you receive an instant email notification. It arrives in your inbox within seconds and includes their name, whether they are attending, guest count, dietary requirements, menu choices if applicable and any personal message they left for you.
Second — their response is saved to your private Guest Dashboard.
Your Private Guest Dashboard
Every Gilded Invite couple receives access to a private dashboard at gildedinvite.com/guest-dashboard.
Log in with your unique username and password — provided when your invitation is delivered — and you will see:
- Total responses received
- Total guests confirmed attending
- Total guests who have declined
- A complete live table of every RSVP — name, attending, guest count, dietary requirements, menu choices, song requests and any messages
- A Download Guest List button that exports your full list as a perfectly formatted Excel spreadsheet — ready to hand to your caterer or venue coordinator
The dashboard is completely private. Only you can see your guests. Nobody else has access.
Step 8 — Free Updates For Life
Your invitation does not expire. It lives at its unique URL forever.
If your venue changes, your timings shift, a photo needs updating or you want to add a new FAQ — simply contact us and we will make the change within 24 hours at no charge.
